I am coming up on my one year anniversary of making art fairly consistently. It has gone by incredibly fast. At times Ive felt anxious about my progress, my goals, and intentions. And felt as though I had been spinning my wheels, running on a hamster wheel with no momentum. But I’ve come to realize that the last year of making art was truly about letting go and simply getting into the habit of making art nearly everyday. I was exploring pure creation without any restraints. I have learned so much.
My goal for this next year is to keep collecting the marks, techniques and colors that feel most aligned with my creative voice, but to also nail down exactly what it is I’m trying to say with my work.
I am continuing to create a body of work that includes works on paper and canvas, but I am also dipping my toes in large scale murals with the intention of collaborating with local businesses.
Here are some of my favorite photos from the last year of working.
Cheers love.
